How your support helps!
The AAE Foundation is helping to reform and improve America’s education system. Here are just a few examples of the many ways we are making a difference in the lives of teachers and students nationwide:
- Providing scholarships to promising high-school and university students to encourage the best of the best to enter the teaching profession.
- Providing mini-grants to classroom teachers to encourage out-of-the-box thinking in improving the education of our nation’s youth.
- Serving as a project evaluator for the U.S. Department of Education in evaluating and monitoring character education grants given by the Department to various school districts around the nation.
- Providing legal assistance to individual teachers across the country whose First Amendment rights have been abridged. Encouraging and enabling academic freedom that teachers need to fully educate the students in their charge.
- Serving as a resource to school boards and school districts on issues pertaining to individual workplace rights and alternative forms of teacher representation.
The AAE has an insiders perspective on what is needed to improve the system. However, we are just teachers and need the intellectual, moral, and financial support of concerned citizens like you to help bring about true reform.
