Five Sites You Can Use To Create Classroom Videos
posted by: Melissa | February 28, 2017, 03:41 PM

The key to any good lesson is great content, and in the modern classroom, more and more that means videos. Videos can spice up a dull topic or allow you to flip your classroom by introducing students to the content at home. From TED to YouTube to Khan Academy, many sites post premade videos that are ready for teachers to show in class or to assign for student use.

However, sometimes those videos just don’t have the content that you’re looking for, or sometimes they don’t have the personal touch that we teachers love to add to our lessons In those cases, the best thing to do is to create your own videos. While this can sound daunting at first, it doesn’t have to be. There are a lot of sites out there that can make this process easy!

We’re listing five of our current favorite video creation sites below:

  1. EdPuzzle – Combines creating new videos, using premade videos, and tracking student progress.
  2. PlayPosit – A simple design allows you to easily create interactive videos.
  3. Animoto – Turns slides, pictures, and clips into great looking videos.
  4. WeVideo – Forget about hassling with platforms. Edit your videos in the cloud.
  5. Hyperlapse – Create time-lapse videos and make long projects shorter.
