Welcome to the Association of American Educators' online publication, Reform Matters! This education reform-focused publication features both original AAE content and a compilation of the latest news from the growing education reform community.

Feel free to forward this email on to colleagues, or encourage them to join our email list. We hope that you will provide us with feedback and consider submitting an article or study for consideration. Stay engaged in this school year!

Note: We are proud to be member-driven and only take positions on issues after our members are surveyed at a majority. The studies, articles, and policies showcased in this newsletter have not necessarily been endorsed by AAE; however, by sharing new and innovative trends in education policy, we hope to educate and empower our members by examining new possibilities in education.

Celebrate with AAE: National School Choice Week

The countdown is on! National School Choice Week is January 25-31. By shining a spotlight on options for teachers including charter, virtual, and parochial schools, we've been able to engage teachers in a discussion about the benefits of school choice for not only students, but classroom educators.

How can you get involved? Order a National School Choice Week kit, watch and share the video of teacher choice in action, and join the conversation!

We hope that AAE members get involved as we celebrate innovations in education this month. An authentic teacher voice is instrumental in crafting policy that works for all stakeholders. Visit the AAE blog for profiles in choice and the National School Choice website for more opportunities to get involved.
