AFT Marches with Communists at Washington Rally
posted by: Account | October 07, 2010, 07:26 PM

Question: What do the American Federation of Teachers, the Communist Party USA, and the Freedom Socialist Party have in common?

Answer: They marched side-by-side last weekend at a rally, "One Nation Working Together," in Washington, D.C.

AFTmemberThe rally was held by these groups and other unions to promote jobs and social equality. The truth is that the platforms of the two largest teacher unions aren't too different from extremist groups like the Freedom Socialist Party.

Credit has been given to the unions for underwriting the cost of the rally. In fact, the union presence was so paramount that it made for a sense of color coding in the crowd, including the AFT group wearing their blue t-shirts with hundreds of people holding union-printed signs with political insignias.

Teachers' membership dues at work – right before your eyes.

What do you think of the AFT aligning themselves with these groups?

Well, for a non-partisan group this particular blog makes me a little angry. Do we have to continue the name-calling at every chance? What does that get us but more angry? What happened to trying to bring people together?
I thought this group tried to distance itself from that - be better than that.... but apparently not.

Are you joking? Do you not realize that Communism historically puts teachers in prison along with artists and others deemed a threat to the government? I don't think there is one example of a communist country promoting teachers. It is amazing what educated people will be tricked into believing.
