Ms. Pamela Graybeal, a teacher at Unionville High School in Kennett Square, PA, was awarded a scholarship by the Association of American Educators Foundation to attend the American Council for the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) Conference in Boston this January. The funding offset the costs of registration and travel expenses for the conference. Mr. Andrew Palmer, a teacher at Lathrop Middle School in Kansas City, Missouri and longtime AAE member, was one of the many deserving educators to receive a national grant from the AAE Foundation last month. Professional Association of Colorado Educators, Association of American Educators' state partner in Colorado, awarded ten scholarships for PACE members to attend the Rachel’s Challenge Summit, "Soar to New Heights, Renew Your Mind, and Inspire Your Heart," which starts today, in Denver. The Association of American Educators has awarded a classroom grant to LaWanda Brewer, deaf and hard-of-hearing teacher at Becky-David Elementary in St. Charles, Missouri. Northwest Professional Educators, Association of American Educators' state partner for Washington, Oregon and Idaho, awarded a classroom mini-grant to Kathy Muscat, guidance counselor at Jerome High School in Jerome, Idaho.
