Association of American Educators Participates in National Public Schools Week 2021

Mission Viejo, CA – The Association of American Educators (AAE), a national, nonunion, professional association serving educators in all fifty states, announces its participation in Public Schools Week 2021 running from February 22 through February 26, 2021. As an association dedicated to supporting classroom educators, administrators, education specialists, and school staff who are committed to providing the highest quality education to learners of all abilities, this is a week of special significance for the entire organization.

“The innovations, ingenuity, and commitment displayed throughout the nation’s public schools during the most challenging of school years have been nothing less than heroic.” stated AAE Executive Director Colin Sharkey. “Public school educators continue to put their students’ needs first, and remain the foundation of our nation’s strong tradition of public education.”

AAE recognizes and celebrates the accomplishments of its tens of thousands of members serving students in public schools nationwide. Awareness efforts throughout the week will also highlight the AAE Foundation’s Teacher Scholarship and Classroom Grant Program that is open to all educators. This important program supports educators’ professional development goals and classroom activities and materials, including materials related to remote and hybrid learning through $500 awards. The deadline for submission is March 1, 2021. More information is at aaeteachers.org/awards.
