Association of American Educators Offers Tuition Grants
Through American College of Education

Alexandria, VA — Today the Association of American Educators (AAE) and the American College of Education (ACE) announce their partnership to directly assist AAE members. The American College of Education is offering 240 individual scholarships totaling $125,000 in tuition scholarship funding for AAE members to pursue Master’s of Education Degrees.

"We are appreciative of generosity of the American College of Education to reward AAE members by offering educator scholarships," says Gary Beckner, AAE Executive Director. "We know that there are many teachers who desire to further their education to enhance their efficacy in the classroom. These scholarships can help educators reach their goals."

Each scholarship, worth $500, will offset tuition costs for the first two courses taken at the college. All courses are offered exclusively online. Students pursuing master’s degrees at American College of Education may choose from the following degrees:

  • M.Ed. in Education Leadership
  • M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction
  • M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction with ESL Specialization
  • M.Ed. in Curriculum with Bilingual Specialization
  • M.Ed. in Education Technology

The AAE-ACE Scholarships will be available through June 1, 2010. Teachers selected for the tuition grants must meet admission criteria, but the GRE is not required.

"It's an obvious match," says Dave Saba, Vice President of Development at ACE, "AAE is an organization created by professional educators and for professional educators. ACE exists to improve student performance through better teacher instruction. Bringing together these two organizations only serves to enhance classroom learning directly providing highly-trained professional educators for students."

Nearly 4,000 teachers have graduated or are now working toward their Master's degree through American College of Education.

AAE members interested in applying should contact the American College of Education Enrollment Department at 1-800-280-0307. Also, they can also visit a unique website designed for AAE teachers at www.ace.edu/AAE.
