AAE Appreciates Teachers, This Week and Always

The following statement can be attributed to Gary Beckner, executive director of the Association of American Educators:

"Everyone can remember at least one remarkable school teacher. During National Teacher Appreciation Week, AAE encourages everyone to celebrate teachers who change lives, inspire improvement, and set positive examples for their students. We offer a rousing standing ovation to teachers who do so much—your work is appreciated and not soon forgotten.

We at AAE know that a student’s educational achievements are largely made possible through committed teachers. As an association created by teachers and for teachers, AAE understands the demands made on today’s educator. As such, we offer them earnest thanks for placing the education of children first and encourage the rest of America to, this week, seek out and recognize those teachers whose efforts mean so much."

The Association of American Educators is the largest national, non-union, professional educators' association, offering an alternative to the partisan politics and non-educational agendas of the teacher labor unions. AAE does not endorse, support or contribute to any political cause or candidacy. AAE has members in all 50 states and welcomes professionals from all education entities. Membership is $180 per year. http://www.aaeteachers.org.
