AAE Announces Collaboration with On Our Sleeves
Alexandria, VA – The Association of American Educators (AAE), a national professional association serving educators in all fifty states, is collaborating with On Our Sleeves, the movement for children’s mental health, to help break the stigma surrounding children’s mental health. They have officially joined the On Our Sleeves Alliance as an education partner.
Composed of corporations, youth and parent-serving organizations, health care organizations, education partners, and individual champions, the On Our Sleeves Alliance represents the diverse and powerful voices committed to sharing best practices and advancing the mission of On Our Sleeves.
“Because of partners such as AAE who have joined On Our Sleeves, we are able to continue the movement’s important mission – to provide every community in America with free, evidence-informed resources for breaking child mental health stigmas and educating families and advocates,” said Marti Bledsoe Post, executive director of On Our Sleeves.
As an education partner, AAE will receive exclusive content and resources to distribute to their members to further the On Our Sleeves mission. They will also gain membership into a national coalition with other prestigious organizations to share information, network, and participate in educational webinars and events for the important cause of educating youth about mental health and starting conversations.
“This important partnership with On Our Sleeves is a landmark achievement in fulfilling our organizational commitment to best practices for the quality, the mental health, and the supportive workplace climate for all educators, so they may fully serve their students and their entire educational community,” noted AAE senior professional programs manager Melissa Pratt.
