Florida lawmakers rally behind 6-year-old arrested at school - A 6-year-old girl was zip-tied and arrested last fall at a Florida elementary school. Florida lawmakers backed the girl, Kaia Rolle, on Wednesday after passing a measure requiring law enforcement authorities to put procedures in place for arresting children under age 10. Rolle’s arrest video went viral after her family made footage from the officer’s body camera public.

How U.S. schools are preparing for the coronavirus - Many schools across the country have made announcements that they are in heavy communication with local health departments in regards to the novel Coronavirus. Many school and government officials are urging students and the general public to keep their hands clean and refrain from touching their face. Closings are being held at schools across the country where students and/or staff have tested positive for the virus.

Reebok and Allen Iverson covering college application fees for rising seniors at Bethel High in Hampton, Iverson’s alma mater - Former NBA superstar Allen Iverson has partnered with Reebok to cover college application fees at a Virginia high school. Rising seniors at Bethel High School, Iverson’s alma mater, in Hampton, Virginia, were told at an assembly on Wednesday that all college application fees will be waived. “What’s up y’all, I got Reebok to cover your college application fees so the sky’s the limit,” said Iverson in a video. “Don’t let nothing stop your dreams.”
