Alexandria, VA – The Association of American Educators (AAE), a national non-union professional association serving educators in all fifty states, is pleased to announce the GLOBE Academy, a dual language immersion charter school serving grades K-8 in the DeKalb County School District of Metro Atlanta, is the recipient of a generous end-of-year gift. The GLOBE Academy serves approximately one thousand students and like schools throughout the nation has been maintaining rigorous learning standards during the coronavirus pandemic. 

“The GLOBE Academy exemplifies an extraordinary learning community striving to inspire students to be high-performing lifelong learners equipped to make a positive impact in the world,” said AAE State Director Dana Williams. “We are so very proud to present this gift of appreciation to the educators who have risen to the challenges of these times and remain committed to their students’ learning goals.”

“Our educators have gone above and beyond to make sure that students’ emotional and educational needs are met and these funds are deeply appreciated as we continue to stay motivated, collaborative, and supportive of one another,” noted GLOBE Academy Executive Director Christi Elliott-Earby. “We are thankful to AAE for this wonderful way to start off the New Year.”
