Black History Month in the classroom
posted by: Tamia | February 02, 2021, 06:53 PM

February is Black History Month, a time to recognize and celebrate the achievements and contributions of Black Americans throughout this nation’s history. Carter G. Woodson introduced the idea of Black History Month in 1915, with every U.S. president designating the month of February as Black History Month since 1976. Many other countries, including Canada and the United Kingdom celebrate Black History as well.

Here are several resources to help you include Black History Month lessons and conversations in your curricula.
