Supporting Professionalism in Education
The Association of American Educators Foundation is an IRS recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization. The Foundation was established to support the activities of the Association of American Educators – the largest national non-union teacher association. The stated purpose of the Foundation is to provide the public and public educators with opportunities, information, and funds to help reform and improve the education of America’s youth.
The Association of American Educators Foundation seeks to be an authentic teacher voice in the ongoing national dialogue about education reform. To accomplish this task, the Foundation surveys members every year on a variety of education reform issues. By engaging teachers, the Foundation is able to disseminate critical educator opinions to elected officials and policy makers on all levels.
In addition, the Foundation supplements its educational and charitable activities through the dissemination of newsletters and publications, including Education Matters, to teachers, interested public, and supporters. Throughout the school year, the Foundation hosts professional development and leadership conferences throughout country.
In an effort to encourage professionalism in our public education system, the Foundation also provides scholarships and grants to dedicated teachers nationwide. These funds are designed to advance student learning, continue teacher education, and fund innovative classroom projects.
The AAE Foundation has received contributions from a cadre of concerned educators, parents, foundations, and business leaders who are unsatisfied with the status quo in education. These individuals believe in advancing the teaching profession and empowering our nation’s teachers as true professionals. We hope you will also consider supporting our efforts to reform America’s school system and promote professionalism for educators.
