Mission Viejo, CA – The Association of American Educators (AAE), a national nonunion, professional association serving educators in all fifty states, announces its staff and nationwide members will be participating in National School Choice Week (NSCW) January 26 through February 1, 2020. AAE is proud to recognize the many educational options available to families for learners at all levels in our public schools, charter schools, magnet schools, private schools, home schools, and online schools.

AAE will be hosting dozens of recognition events, celebrations, and presentations throughout the week to extol the choices and contributions of our members in every educational setting and region of the nation. “We are pleased to participate in this nationwide celebration of educators in all schools. It is a terrific way to support our members and highlight their commitment to educational excellence for their students,” said AAE Executive Director Colin Sharkey.

“The work our members do each day in the classroom serving their students as well as their advocacy for educational opportunity for all students outside the classroom are truly inspiring. We are honored to celebrate their efforts in this special week and advance that mission throughout the year,” added Association of American Educators Foundation Director of Advocacy Kira Tookes.

AAE has participated in National School Choice Week each year since its founding and hundreds of AAE members throughout the country request event kits to celebrate school choice and teacher choice in their communities.

AAE serves teachers, administrators, and support staff in public district, public charter, virtual, private, and parochial schools, as well as college and university professors and staff, and student teachers.
