It seems as though the school year just ended, however, the new one will be upon us before you know it. With only a little while time left in the summer, there’s limited opportunity to do all your back-to-school shopping, and you still want everything at the best possible price. So which stores should you check out? Here are ten places to consider for your online and in-store shopping:

  1. Office Depot/Office Max. Office Depot already has a teacher discount program, but they also have a special coupon that gives teachers an extra 20% off. You can find the coupon on their website. Additionally, AAE members have access to even more savings as Office Depot is on our member discount website.
  2. Lakeshore Learning. Lakeshore is ubiquitous for teacher supplies with stores across the country and an extensive online catalog. Right now, they’re having their back to school sale with an extra 20% off.
  3. Really Good Stuff. Really Good Stuff boasts about their educator-made products that meet the special needs of classroom teachers. If you act quickly, you can take advantage of some really deep discounts including 20% off for classroom organization materials and deeply discounted outlet prices.
  4. Discount School Supply. Discount School Supply is dedicated to giving educators the lowest prices for high quality classroom supplies. Shipping is fast, reliable, and most important, it’s free!
  5. HootofLoot. HootofLoot knows what people have known for centuries: One person’s trash is another’s treasure. At HootofLoot you can sell teaching supplies you no longer need and purchase used supplies from other educators.
  6. Target. Target has a little bit of everything, and while it may not have a lot of the more specialized products, you can definitely stock up on basics. Time is of the essence though, the deepest discounts at the store are available this week!
  7. Barnes & Noble. Stocking up on new books is a must for any school year. Barnes & Noble makes it easy with special Educator Appreciation Days discounts on top of their already discounted educator prices.
  8. Staples. Another good stop for basic supplies, Staples hosts Back to School events every summer. These tend to be timed around the dates for schools in your district so every store may have slightly different sales dates. Check with the Staples in your area for more details.
  9. PASCO Scientific. Science classrooms have special needs that can’t often be found in classroom or office supply stores, and that makes this online shop a necessity for anyone in a STEM field.
  10. Hand2Mind. Hand2Mind specializes in hands-on manipulatives for early childhood, elementary, and middle school classrooms. Their creative products are just what you need to keep all those energetic hands busy in your classes this school year.
